JUNIOR SEASON IN FULL SWING!

JUNIOR SCHEDULES ARE NOW FINAL.   Effective immediately, the only changes allowed will be game TIME changes, with a 10 day notice.  The procedure to change a game time is to work it out with the opposing coach and referee assignor and contact your AGC for approval.  The AGC will forward the change for posting on the website and for final notification to the referee assignor.  Best of luck to all teams and remember, good sportsmanship goes a long way. Have a great season!

U9's & U10's

“As a point of clarification, effective with the upcoming Junior Season, USA will play a modified Academy style of play in these age groups.  For the purpose of FYSA registration, all teams should be registered as competitive.  However, for U9’s and U10’s ONLY, USA will allow unlimited guest play.  Scheduling will be done geographically and teams will travel with equal home and away games (or as equal as the scheduling will allow)

Should you have any questions with regard to registration and player passes, please contact, Linda Lathrop, FYSA registrar.  For further clarification on modified Academy style of play, please contact your AGC.”

IMPLEMENTING A NEW "OLD" RULE

Meeting Attendance is very important!  This is where each Affliate member has an opportunity to have a "voice" in how the league is run.  Also, it is the best way for both Affliate and Associate Members,  to stay informed, as to changes and happenings within the league.  Again, this year, the USA Executive Board is going to be diligent in upholding the rule, with regard to meeting attendance.  Rule 201(e) is as follows:

Affliate Member - Voting Member, Must Attend All Monthly Meetings

Any Club Missing 3 or more meetings WILL NOT be allowed to vote at the AGM and may be subject to fines.

If at any time throughout the year, you need to check your attendance, please contact sheridoback@verizon.net.

GAME CHECK-IN PROCEDURE

There have been many questions and some confusion about Game Check-In.  Please see below as a reminder of the proper protocol.

USA League required credentials –

USA League rules state that player passes and FYSA Rosters must be used for all teams and all players in order to participate in USA League games. The rule states: “No Pass – No Play”, no exceptions. Also, ALL players must be listed on the FYSA Roster and/or guest player forms.  This rule also applies to 9 and 10 year olds.

Keep in mind the following:
1)      If “Recreational” guest players from your club are used, they must still have an FYSA Player Pass (with photo, signed and laminated). For “rec” players you plan on using as guest players, who do not already have a Player Pass – you must obtain one from your club registrar. Some Rec leagues, or in house rec programs do not require player passes – but they are easily obtained. Your registrar can simply print out a pass online. There is no additional charge from FYSA for this. FYSA “Temporary” (or unverified) player passes are allowed – they do not have to be USYS “Verified” passes.
2)      Guest players – if you are using guest players, you must have player passes for them, as well as either: Option A – Proper FYSA guest player forms, attached to your regular FYSA team roster, or Option B: FYSA generated Event Roster including all regular players plus guest players on one form. Either of these is available from your club’s registrar, which they can obtain very easily from the FYSA website.
3)      Academy rosters may have unlimited roster numbers – and players not participating in a game are “crossed off” the FYSA roster for game time, or use an FYSA event roster.
4)      Players without player passes can NOT participate per USA current rules. Handwritten rosters, or similar, are not allowed – ONLY the Official FYSA documents listed are allowed (FYSA Official Roster, FYSA Guest Player Forms, FYSA Event Roster). Failure to provide the proper paperwork prior to the game may result in players not being allowed to participate, and/or teams not being allowed to play (resulting in a forfeit).
5)      Also – if using guest players, MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH USA LEAGUE RULES! Failure to follow the proper guest player rules may result in game results being overturned.

Finally, remember that all the rules above are those voted on by the USA affiliates (which includes all clubs within the league). The members decided on these rules over the years as requirements for play within our league. These rules were put in place by YOUR representatives, not the USA Board – we simply enforce the rules that you give us.
