To all USA Referees !!
These are the steps to follow before and after you officiate a game:
1 ) Get to the site at least 30 minutes prior to the game
2 ) Identify the person in charge of the field and Field Marshall
3 ) Identify the assistants assigned for that game
4 ) Inspect the field - make sure goals are anchored
5 ) Check teams (home team first) collect from them the game report already filled out with team names, location , date and time . Also it should be noted the name and phone # of the Field Marshall. It should be noted by the team official, the name of the players of players serving suspensions. (they don’t need to be present) The game roster should be no more than 18 players for that game; on younger teams U 9/10 12 players or U 11/12 up to 14 players; when guest players are used, the roster should not exceed more than the maximum number, including those guesting; also should be collected the official guest player forms to be mailed in with the game report.
6 ) Conduct your game in a professional manner.
7 ) After the game is over, fill out the game report totally, add scores , send offs , any unusual incidents ( serious injuries) .
8 ) Have the game report signed by both teams . Give one copy to each team.
9 ) Collect your fee.
10) Once at home, take the time to fill out any supplementary report as needed. Give the necessary information of the actions of players sent off, use the Law Book terminology (send off offences). Be brief and give only the facts.
11) Mail the report along with the information to your Area Ref Assignor, within 48 hours of completion of the game.
