USA Soccer is excitedly "gearing up" for the upcoming season! To be sure you receive all important information and your club secures a spot in our league, be sure to fill out a 2008-2009 Club Affliatiate/Associate form. (available under site contents) Download it, fill it out and submit per the instructions on the form, as soon as possible. Deadline was Wednesday, June 11th, so if you missed it, send it in TODAY! Remember the form MUST be signed by the President of your club. Don’t delay - Keep checking the website for updates and news about other important dates. Also, be sure to click on the Calendar link above, to assist you in your planning.

Rule Proposal: U10 Age Groups will be Academy Format - VOTE PASSED
USA Board Agrees to Increase Fees Paid to Referees
Based on a recommendation by former USA Referee Liasion, Mario Martinez, the USA Executive Board voted unanimously to increase fees paid to USA Referees for the upcoming 08-09 season. Click on the link http://www.usa-soccer.org/Refs/index_E.html ("Referee Info Page") to view the new rates.
Annual Joan Judd Scholarship Banquet held on April 23, 2008
Thirty students were the recipients of $500, awarded annually to High School seniors, that met the scholarship requirements of the Joan Judd award. The banquet was held at the Radisson Bay Harbor Inn and was an enjoyable evening. The scholarship committee explained the history of the award and then congratulated each student individually. This is Really Cool!
For those of you who have been with USA for a while, you may remember the spreadsheets with Coaches contact info, that was constantly in need of an update. Or having to call your AGC, who didn’t have his info in front of him, so you could reach your opponent on short notice. Not anymore! Part of USA’s upgrade to this new website, includes a great new feature. Click on the link 2007-2008 Teams and you will have all this info, in a few clicks. If you are a coach and your info has changed, be sure to notify administrator@usa-soccer.org so it can be updated.
